You can study in Europe for a few months, with scholarship, through ERASMUS Program, in which we are involved – code 230843-IC-1-2007--1 RO.
- The European program Erasmus for mobilizing the students offers you this opportunity. Even more, research show that the chances for the participants to find a better job have considerably grown.
- Founded 20 years ago, Erasmus promotes the cooperation between European universities. At the university exchange can participate, theoretically, all universities from participant countries, as well as all disciplines and university levels. In our country only 50 universities are involved in the project.
- As an Erasmus student, you get a scholarship that covers only a part of the life and housing costs. But, in exchange, you are free of your scholar tuition. Usually, the scholarship offered to Romanian students is around 350 euros per month, too small to pay for more than the rent in the developed countries of the European Union. That's why you have to earn your pocket money and money for books or for fun.
- All courses you attend abroad should be recognized at your university at your return in the country. It's better to get informed first about how the system of credit transfer works (the equalization of exams and students' grounding) at your university before you leave to Europe , in order not to have difficulties when you return.
- You can enjoy though the fact that you will have the opportunity to learn a foreign language both during the classes and during the special classes organized in Romania or in the country you are about to go to.
- If you want to take part in an Erasmus program, you have to fulfill a few basis requirements: to have Romanian citizenship, to be a student at a university education institution either at the bachelor, master or doctoral degree cycle and to have finished al least the first academic year at university. Also, in order to take part in the European program for students' mobilization, you have to not have benefited before of the Erasmus probation and to pass a foreign language test. Before you hand in your application file, make sure that you have good scholar results, that you have made a consistent curriculum vitae and that you present a letter of intention, through which you explain why you want this probation and how you will use the information you will learn in Europe.
